The porcelain transfer appears to have
been taken from a portrait painted by
Gustav Karl Ludwig Richter in 1879.
This portrait now hangs in the Cologne
Museum. Gustav Richter was born in
Berlin in August 1823. The two
paintings represent two views of the
contemporaries of Louise. Louise as
Helen of Troy who will destroy Prussia.
Or Louise as the Maid of Orleans who
will save Prussia.
